The right person enjoys both the studio floor and the leadership work behind it: coaching people, giving clear feedback, solving problems, and following through and creating a great member experience.
- Teach approximately 10-12 BODYBAR Pilates classes per week with energy, safety, and consistency
- Create community in the studio through engagement with members before, during and after class
- Develop and manage the instructor team (recruitment, hiring, onboarding and ongoing instructor evaluation and feedback)
- Manage and develop class schedule based on member demand, instructor availability, and studio performance
- Work with studio leadership to review key performance indicators, member feedback, instructor performance, and schedule utilization.
- Keep equipment, training records, and studio readiness organized; identify maintenance needs and coordinate follow-up
- Help with community events, local partnerships, and member engagement activities.
- Help with social media content and posts
- At least one of the following credentials:
- Bachelor Degree in Exercise Science or related field
- Certified personal trainer/group fitness instructor
- Pilates or BODYBAR Instructor Certification
- Minimum of 1 year in the fitness Industry
- Minimum of 1 year management experience in fitness or related field
- Community Builder
- Detail oriented and organized
- Experience coaching or mentoring instructors and giving direct, constructive feedback
- Strong organization, follow-through, and comfort using technology
- A service-first, team-oriented leadership style
- Availability for a flexible schedule that includes early mornings, evenings, and weekends as studio needs require
- Willingness to complete required BODYBAR training and teach the BODYBAR Method
- CPR/AED certification, or willingness to obtain it before teaching responsibilities begin
- Want to lead a team, not just teach classes
- Enjoy helping instructors grow and holding people to clear expectations
- Believe a great studio is built through relationships, thoughtful coaching, and consistent execution
- Are comfortable being visible in the community and talking with prospective members
- Care about details, but can also keep the team focused on what matters most
- Want to help create a studio where members and employees feel supported, and excited to return
